Abstract

In recent years, streaming platforms have become increasingly important and nowadays they play a pivotal role in our everyday lives. Among all the options present on the web, the undeniable winner and most popular platform has proven to be Netflix. By conducting a comparative study on the localization and personalization strategy employed in four different locales (UK vs US and IT vs IT-CH) by Netflix, this research aimed to shed light on the multilingual content present on the platform and inquire into the user’s preferences, habits, and frequency of use regarding Netflix’s localization and a selection of personalization features available in these markets.
