Abstract

Amplification and sequencing of RNA are commonly used techniques to detect gene fusions, for the moment this technique is not used for lymphoma diagnosis as the classic oncogenes for this type of disease are not characterized by a gene fusion but by a gene swap, which does not alter the gene structure but their expression. In this study, I focus on Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) as RNA quantificat This method allows me to show that different levels of expression can be detected with or without translocation for MYC, BCL2 and BCL6. An RNAseq using a panel capture might be useful for the characterization of DLBCL and maybe also for other tumors.
