This MA thesis looks at how conference interpreting services are organized within international organizations by describing a case study of the International Labour Conference of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations specialized agency in the field of social justice and labour rights. It examines the organization and the structure of its Official Meetings, Documentation and Relations Department, with a particular focus on the Interpretation Unit, by describing the functions and responsibilities of its employees. It also provides a general overview of the meetings and events organized by the ILO within the framework of its activities, concentrating on the International Labour Conference and the work of interpreting services during its sessions.
