Abstract

The article analyzes the transport system of Paris, the basic goals and objectives of the projects Greater Paris Express and Regional Government Arc Express. Draft Express Grand Paris is considered as an infrastructure project, significantly changing the urban structure. This public transport system is to increase the attractiveness of the region, since it connects the largest clusters and stimulate movement, innovation, knowledge and leads to an increase in population,economy, jobs and better quality of life. The comparative characteristic of development of public transport in the region of Paris and Baku public transport. It is noted that difficult to make any forecasts regarding the use of the experience of Paris in Baku due to the differences in urban morphology, geographical characteristics of the regions and economic opportunities. It is indicated that the effective modernization of the Baku transport system will improve the quality of transport services, and will be the starting point for future projects.
