This research is part of a larger project whose aim is to describe the radio commentary defining linguistic characteristics in order to develop a didactic model of this genre. In this paper, we use the socio-discursive interactionism theoretical framework and we aim at describing the radio commentary as a genre, thus focusing the journalistic activity and the commentary's support. We point out the linguistic forms that mark the relationship between those aspects and the genre under analysis.
