Abstract

A Distributed Musical Rehearsal is one of the most demanding telepresence applications, in terns of video and audio quality and transmission latency. In the frame of the EU ACTS project Distributed Video Production (DVP) we developed an ATM based environment for the organization of Distributed Musical Rehearsals. In this paper we describe the technical specifications of the installations and the organization and studio set-up of the distributed musical rehearsal environment, present our implementation of the environment and give the results obtained from the organized distributed rehearsal trials.
