We have developed a software, Cell Database, for archiving records about cells stored in liquid nitrogen tanks. Once installed on a web server, the database is accessed through a standard web browser. This user-friendly and self-explanatory application is independent of computer platform and periodic upgrades of a commercial software. Our web application allows import of data from other database programs and adaptation to different tank formats, types of samples, and archiving needs.
