Post translational Modifications (PTMs) are fundamental to better understand biological processes, but difficult to correctly position on the peptide or glycan chains. These modifications can be mapped by using tandem mass spectrometry, which then involves the spectra annotation process. This work provides guidelines concerning improvements for spectra annotation.
