Abstract

Modern implantology relies on a crucial synergy between the clinical assessment of the real patient and the use of their digital twin. With digital planning tools and guided surgery, practitioners can accurately anticipate implant placement while considering both anatomical and prosthetic requirements. However, despite advancements in artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technologies, the key to success remains a thorough analysis of clinical criteria.

This article highlights the importance of this hybrid approach, where clinical examination and virtual simulation complement each other to optimize the selection and management of the first implant patient. These criteria are illustrated through a clinical case and supported by the ITI SAC classification, demonstrating the synergy between digital tools and clinical assessment in preparing for initial interventions.
