This research focuses on investigating Tetris^® as a visuospatial intervention for reducing intrusive memories during memory reconsolidation, as well as understanding the interplay of self-efficacy and resilience in mitigating intrusive memories in individuals with PTSD. Using the trauma film paradigm, we tested five hypotheses: H1: Implementing a visuospatial intervention during memory reconsolidation will diminish intrusive memories post-trauma. H2: Higher levels of self-efficacy, assessed by the GSES, correlates to lower amount of intrusive memories in diary A post-trauma. H3: High levels of self-efficacy, assessed by the GSES, correlates to a bigger change in intrusions. H4: Higher levels of resilience, assessed by the CD-RISC, correlates to a lower amount of intrusive memories in diary A post-trauma. H5: High levels of resilience, assessed by the CD-RISC, correlates to a bigger change in intrusions

Our sample was composed of 134 participants (M(SD)= 24.4(6.99)). The data analysis confirms that Tetris^® significantly reduces intrusive memories but no significant correlations were found between self-efficacy or resilience and the number of intrusive memories or the changes in intrusions. This Master thesis initiates a discussion on the underlying reasons for this outcome.
