Abstract

The article presents an exploratory study that is part of an ongoing doctoral thesis in sciences of education. It analyses episodes of education. It analyses episodes of interactive regulation between a kindergarten teacher in French Guyana and her pupils, also with the help of an assistant. the hypotheses axamined by the study is that the circulation of languages (translanguaging), especially between French and Ndyuka (Creole language), is likely to represent a resource for supporting the pupils' understanding of an album read in French by the teacher, particularly in interactive formative assessments. The article presents detailed analyses of interactive classroom episodes and shows how a trialogue around translanguaging developed in formative assessment integrated into the teaching and learning situation.
