This chapter explains the different ways in which audiovisual material is translated for streaming platforms by highlighting this process for YouTube, TED, as well as the large video-on-demand platforms such as Netflix. The chapter concludes with an overview of streaming platforms in the German speaking regions, i.e. Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
