The approach to the teaching of literature according to its relationship with the cinematography comes on the heels of the problem that formal instruction maintains with the culture of the image and the hierarchy of the culture of the book over the rest of the other cultural objects.

Therefore, this article resumes the discussions generated in literary criticism about the relationship of literature and cinematography. In consequence, we are going to delve in the resistance found in cinema towards the pedagogical reflection and we are going to present a proposal on how to deal with cinematography in educational field. Besides, we will focus on the contributions of the french director and film critic Alain Bergala who has worked at The Ministry of National Education (France) aiming to include arts in formal instruction. Finally, we are going to reflect about cinematography as the rewriting of the literary work and its use in the teaching of literature.
