Abstract We describe two patients who had skin infection due to identical strains of community-acquired methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (CA-MRSA) after returning from the Philippines. Both patients did not share risk factors for CA-MRSA acquisition besides scuba diving. Scuba diving equipment may represent a possible new mode of acquisition of CA-MRSA.
