The field of childhood and youth policies has historically been the scene of a hybridisation between educational, punitive, and therapeutic logic, which involves a plurality of players working in the administrative, civil judicial and criminal judicial spheres. This article examines these hybridisations by taking as material two personal files of minors concerned by both civil and criminal intervention, at an interval of 50 years (1960-2010) in French-speaking Switzerland. The analysis of these two trajectories allows us to highlight the mechanisms at work during the transitions between the civil and criminal spheres, as well as the controversies between professionals but also between the State and the families concerned. In conclusion, we highlight the mutations but also the historical continuities in the field of regulation of parental and juvenile deviance.
