As part of the Geneva Early Childhood Stress Project, the present master's thesis considers mothers exposed to interpersonal violence-related posttraumatic stress disorder (IPV-PTSD) and their offspring (6-9 years old). Results obtained in Phase 1 of the project showed that traumatized mothers and their offspring (aged 12-42 months old) presented disturbances in emotion and arousal regulation as compared to healthy mothers and their offspring. Thus, the present study aims to find differences in emotional processing between children of IPV-PTSD (N=20) and children of control mothers (N=19) who are now school- aged. For that purpose, HD-EEG was recorded in children during the performance of an emotional face-matching task (EFMT).
