The banking sector in Georgia is one of the well-developed and strong financial institutions of the country which ensures a robust and stable financial system, as well as plays a key role in the economic growth. Focusing on CSR and sustainability practices, implemented by the banking industry in Georgia, enables us to analyze the successful models of CSR implementation. The main goal of the study is to analyze the key drivers for the leading commercial banks operating in Georgia, to implement socially responsible practices and CSR activities based on their perception of the Corporate Social Responsibility concept. </p> <p>Additionally, the thesis aims to examine how the banking sector can contribute to sustainable development of the country through sustainable finance and ESG practices.
