Diplôme Master Working together to work better : Some reflections on peer-tutoring in interpreter training and guidelines for implementation eng 2022 author Jost Catherine Julia 908099 director Motta Manuela 51019 In this thesis, we asked and answered the following main research question : could a peer-tutoring scheme be useful in interpreter training at the University of Geneva and if yes, what could it look like? In order to answer this question, we first had to define what a peer-tutoring is and what advantages and disadvantages it has been shown to have in a field similar to conference interpreting, the medical field. We then moved on to asking what pros and cons there could be for interpreting students. After having weighed the pros and the cons and having come to conclusion that the advantages outweigh the risks by far, we concluded this thesis with come guidelines on how to implement such a scheme at the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation at the University of Geneva.
