In my dissertation, I analyze the impact of Fintech Credit on China’s entrepreneurship activities and the structure of the online marketplaces. In Chapter 1, I demonstrate how the entrance of Fintech Credit expands the credit frontier by granting credit access to more under-served borrowers. In Chapter 2, I show how Fintech Credit can stimulate e-commerce entrepreneurship activities and boost online shops’ performance. In Chapter 3, I study the structure of the online marketplace and show how Fintech Credit can contribute to the prosperity of the marketplace.
