This study assesses the quality of the English translations published on the Conseil constitutionnel's website, with a particular emphasis on the judgments it hands down. The study analyses the responses to a questionnaire aimed at understanding the approach used to translate its content, coupled with an in-depth evaluation of its English translations based on two criteria for quality: legal semantic accuracy and consistency, and linguistic correctness. The findings reveal a number of inconsistencies, linguistic errors, and mistranslations of legal terminology which adversely affect the quality of the translations.
