The presence of an additional source of information could facilitate or hinder the work of the interpreter by adding an additional layer of cognitive efforts. A group of interpreters were requested to interpret two similar speeches supported by more or less dense presentations with the objective of determining the influence of the textual density of the visual input. The results suggest that a presentation containing complete clauses could have a positive impact in the performance of the interpreter measured by the fluency of their utterance.
