Among causes and consequences, cognitive restraint has been documented to be both, as well as either an asset in weight-loss and maintenance or a weight gain and regain risk factor. The present study aims at assessing its implicit processes with an especially designed Food Implicit Association Test, featuring pictures of whole food and processed food, paired with positive and negative concepts. Implicit measure is then compared with explicit measures of cognitive restraint (EDE-Q and TFEQ) and of intuitive eating behaviour (IES-2).
