Examples are given, and the usefulness of and limits to Petri net modelling are discussed. A means of understanding the overall operations of a system of executing objects is then put forward. It is shown how such a task view of object behaviour can be represented using Petri nets. The advantages of this modelling approach are considered, and future work is proposed. Cet article propose une approche qui permet de représenter une large classe de mécanismes orientés objet à l'aide des réseaux de Petri; on en donnera des exemples, ainsi qu'une appréciation des forces et des faiblesses de ce type de modélisation. On expliquera également comment il est possible d'appréhender l'ensemble des opérations d'un système d'objets en activité, et comment cette méthode, qui envisage le comportement des objets sous l'aspect de tâches, peut être traduite en termes d'objets de type réseau de Petri. On discute les avantages de cette approche, et l'on conclut par un exposé des directions de recherche possibles.
