Abstract Computer Vision can be traced back to 1960. Its aims are multiple, but are mostly organized around the automation of the cognitive abilities of the human brain and eye to process visual information. In particular, one goal of computer vision is the identification of objects in images, of images from the same scene, as well as the tracking of objects in videos (see Fig. 1.2). To this effect, keypoint detectors and keypoint descriptors are used.
