Abstract

Chiral-alkoxy-allenes are obtazned by reaction by chiral acetyleric acetals with Grignard reagents in the presence of catalytic amount of copper salt. The crucial step is a highly diastereoselective ß-elimination reaction of the transient alkenyl organometallic species.
