Abstract An efficient one-pot reaction for the synthesis of chiral a-bromo-ß-alkyl ketones was developed. The final products were obtained with excellent enantiomeric excess and good isolated yields. The synthetic potential was illustrated by the radical cyclization of the a-brominated ketone.
