Abstract

Dicerium pentanickel dizinc, Ce₂Ni₅Zn₂, crystallizes as a new ordered subsitution variant of the Er₂Co₇ structure type. Cerium dinickel zinc, CeNi₂Zn, crystallizes with the YRh₂Si structure type. Both structures contain MgZn_2- and CaCu_5- type slabs which occur in radios of 1:2 in Ce₂Ni₅Zn₂ and 1:1 in CeNi₂Zn.
