Abstract

The absolute structure of the title compound, C₁₈H_{32_{O_{7_{SSi, has been determined. The thianone ring adopts a chair conformation whereas the furanose ring exists as an envelope conformation. No short interatomic distance was observed in the molecular packing.}}}}
