Abstract | Easily accessible and configurationally stable are words that describe the enantiopure tris(tetrachlorobenzenediolato)phosphate(V) ion (1). These qualities predetermine 1 for use in enantiomeric resolution and asymmetric synthesis. X-ray structure analysis of the cinchonidinium salt of 1 confirmed the octahedral geometry and provided the absolute configuration of the anion. | |
