Abstract

Primary care networks can contribute to the quality of care for young people. Through the description of a youth healthcare network in Geneva, Switzerland, we illustrate how a primary care network can improve both access to care and retention of young people within the healthcare system. This type of network provides important benefits both for young people (accessibility, acceptability and appropriateness of health services) and health providers (multidisciplinary collaboration, training and research opportunities) and their development should therefore be encouraged.
