CD117: a novel ancillary marker for papillary thyroid carcinoma in fine-needle aspiration biopsies

Abstract

c-KIT/CD117 down-regulation has been described in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). In this study, the authors investigated CD117 as an ancillary immunocytochemical test for PTC in fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB).
