Movement of bean leaf: use of complex demodulation.- Some aspects of complex demodulation are discussed. This mathematical method allows the continuous evaluation of amplitude and period from data of periodic phenomena. The technique was used to analyze data from continuous measurements of the bean leaf movement. The results show how the rhythmic parameters change in time during a transfer from synchronizing conditions to free run, either in continuous light, or in continuous darkness.
