Implementation of continuous variable quantum cryptography in optical fibres using a go-&-return configuration

Abstract We demonstrate an implementation of quantum key distribution with continuous vari- ables based on a go-&-return con_guration over distances up to 14km. This con_guration leads to self-compensation of polarisation and phase uctuations. We observe a high de- gree of stability of our set-up over many hours.
