Abstract

We present a careful study of CePd2Si2 tuned through its magnetic instability by application of hydrostatic pressure. Electrical resistivity and calorimetric measurements performed on the same high-quality single crystal enable us to study the disappearance of long-range antiferromagnetic order and the emergence of superconductivity in the vicinity of the critical pressure ,Pc = 28 k bar. At low temperature, a non-Fermi liquid region is identified in the immediate vicinity of PC
