Abstract

The crystal structure of the intermetallic compound henicosamagnesium pentacosazinc, Mg21Zn25, has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. It is isomorphous with Zr21Re25 and deviates slightly from the rules that define the Frank-Kasper phases.
