Piezoelectric measurements on aluminate sodalite Sr8[Al12O24](CrO4)2

Abstract Flux grown single crystals of "yellow-type" aluminate sodalite Sr<sub>8</sub>[Al<sub>12</sub>O<sub>24</sub>](CrO<sub>4</sub>)<sub>2</sub> have been studied by piezoelec. expt. within 150 and 300 K. The piezoelectric coefficients (d31 and d32), the elastic compliances ('''s11E and S22E) and the electromech. coupling factors (k312 and k32) have been determined in the ferroelec.-ferroelastic phase mm2 by measuring the admittance circle at piezoelectric resonance.
