Abstract Renal transplant recipients (RTRs), as all immunosuppressed patients, are at increased risk of reactivating latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI). Detecting LTBI in this population is therefore important to prevent active TB. The tuberculin skin test (TST) has a poor sensitivity in this setting.
