Abstract

We report the first observation of Fe3+ (6SImage ) in SrCl2 monocrystals. The EPR spectra show that the symmetry of the center is cubic. The cubic spin-hamiltonian parameter is discussed in comparison with those of S-state ions in different fluorite type matrices.
