Mechanical stresses and transition regions in polydomain Pb2CoWO6 crystals

Abstract Crystallographic description of the elastically matched polydomain regions and of the possible transition regions (states) was used for search of some rules for formation and rearrangement of the domain structure in Pb2CoWO6 single crystals. The role of the internal mechanical stresses and their relation with respect to the behavior of the unit-cell parameters at the structural phase transitions were discussed.
