Abstract Dysphagic patients present with swallowing difficulties that should be precisely localized and quantified in order to provide a specific rehabilitation. This paper describes a simple yet complete videofluoroscopy protocol with emphasis on each step of the swallowing process, in order to assess sequentially the physiopathology of the involved organs. A comparison is also established between the videofluoroscopy results and the specific rehabilitation to be cared by the swallowing pathologist.
