Endor study of Gd3+ in Cs2NaYCl6

Crystals of Cs2NaYCl6 doped with Gd3+ were investigated using EPR and ENDOR spectroscopy. The Gd3+ site symmetry at 4.2 K is found to be cubic. The lattice does not undergo a structural phase change between 300 and 4.2 K. Literature ENDOR data for Cs2NaYCl6 doped with Ce3+ are re-interpreted.
