Reexamination of the magnetoelectric effect in nickel-iodine boracite (Ni3B7O13I)

Abstract

Quasistatic and dynamic measurements vs. temp. of the magnetoelec. effect have been performed on a (001)cub cut of nickel-iodine boracite. The magnetic symmetry m' and a sign reversal of the magnetoelectric coefficient near the transition point are confirmed.
