A linear and a quadratic magnetoelec. effect have been detected in cobalt-iodine boracite (Co3B7O13I). Second order α32 (linear effect) and third order β311 and β322 (quadratic effect) magnetoelec. coeffs. have been measured vs. temp. from 4 K to 70 K. The coeffs. obtained at 4 K are given
