Magnetic phase transition in cobalt iodine boracite

Abstract

Neutron diffraction investigation of crystal structures and magnetic ordering of cobalt iodine boracite (Co311B7O13I) is reported. The canted antiferromagnetic structure has been detd. at 31 and 9 K, and revealed a magnetic ordering in two steps, without any change in the symmetry of the antiferromagnetic arrangement.
