Abstract After an initial uncomplicated attack, sigmoid diverticulitis may recur, but the morphological characteristics of recurrent diverticulitis have not been investigated. We compared the clinical and radiological severity, the respective location and clinical outcome of the first two episodes of sigmoid diverticulitis.
