A new subdivision of the MILIOLINA with seven superfamilies, instead of five in LOEBLICH & TAPPAN, 1988, and 32 families is proposed, on the basis of morphological, stratigraphical and phylogenetical criteria. The CORNUSPIRACEA, are subdivided into CORNUSPIRACEA and NUBECULARIACEA, and the SORITACEA, into MILIOLIPORACEA and SORITACEA. The new Triassic families Hydraniidae, n. fam., and Siculocostidae, n. fam., are described.
