Abstract

Chronic microbial infections are frequently associated with B-cell activation and polyclonal proliferation, potentially leading to autoimmunity and lymphoproliferative disorders. We assessed B-cell phenotype and function in chronic hepatitis B (HBV) and chronic hepatitis C (HCV) virus infection.
