Neuroendocrine proliferation after lung transplantation

Published in The Journal of heart and lung transplantation. 2009, vol. 28, no. 4, p. 406-408
Abstract There have been few reports of neuroendocrine proliferation and tumors developing after transplantation. We report the first two of such cases encountered after lung transplantation and review the literature on these rare tumors after solid-organ transplantation. In the general population, these are indolent and rare tumors, as opposed to neuroendocrine carcinoma, and their behavior is unknown in transplant recipients.
