Abstract

The authors comment on new records of Potamopyrgus jenkinsi from western Switzerland. During 1977 and 1978 free living specimens were taken alive in Lac Léman (Lake of Geneva) while some of these molluscs were found in the digestive tract of a Common Pochard Aythya ferina (L.) and two Tufted Ducks A. fuligula (L.) from the Lac de Neuchâtel.
