Photoinitiator-dependent effects of N-acetylcysteine incorporation in dental resin-based composites

First online date2026-09-15
Abstract

Dental resin-based composites (RBCs) are widely used in restorative dentistry due to their excellent aesthetic characteristics, favorable mechanical properties, and strong adhesion to dental tissues, making them the material of choice for direct restorations (Ferracane, 2011; Ilie and Hickel, 2011). Nevertheless, despite these advantages, RBCs exhibit certain limitations.
